Happy Baby!

Hoss received his first birthday present today from Jacee and Pop (my parents).

Let's just say he loves his chair.

 and doing SOMERSAULTS off the side!! I did not get a picture, but right after I took the above pictures Hoss decided to try to get out over the armrest, and completed a full front flip. Then laughed! I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

"MOM! Why are you crying?"

While doing my bible study this morning, this specific activity brought me a sense of LOVE and SECURITY! But I do realize that not everyone will be able to fill their name into the blanks, not because God does not love them, but because you have not taken that one step in excepting Jesus Christ as your savior.  I pray that everyone that reads this blog can fill their name in the blanks.

What an awesome feeling to know that I am safe with my Good Shepherd.

Bye Bye Blackbird

As I gaze into the sky, I take in the beauty of my surroundings and THIS...

These blackbirds will not leave our trees!! I thought about emailing some of these pictures to the Game and Fish and let them know that a few blackbirds falling out of the sky for no apparent reason is OK, because there are MILLIONS!! 

These pictures do not do it justice. And NO those aren't leaves in the trees, they are blackbirds! These fine feathered little creatures are not my friend!

led to poop all over my car, which led to some falling out of the sky for no apparent reason! My yard looks like a war zone. But that is what happens when you decided to strike first by bombing my entire car with poop. I HAD TO TAKE ACTION! I will not post pictures for those that are squeamish, and might be blackbird lovers!! :O)

On too happier things. This is the face I get when I tell him "NO".

This is why there are fingerprints all over the TV.

And this is the way he looks at me when he wants me to stop taking pictures!

RIP

Along with the blackbirds, my blow dryer of more than 7 years decided to bite the dust! I've never realized how long those things last, the blow dryer that is!

What's for dinner?

If you are like me, you normally look in your kitchen cabinets and wonder what to cook for dinner.  Well, here is a suggestion. Try Pioneer Woman's recipe for Pork Tenderloin.  The recipe includes a cranberry sauce but I scratch that and just cook the tenderloin. It has been a hit with the husband and baby. So much so that Adam keeps asking when I am going to make it again.  So try it tonight!!

Pondering...

Today as it  rains outside, I pondered a thought! :O) Since the treadmill is broke, and the roads are too muddy, if I run in place for 35 to 40 minutes would I get the same workout? What a crazy thought, but when you're desperate, you're desperate!

Howdy Stranger

It's been way to long since I've blogged. I realize that this is becoming a regular habit, waiting weeks to blog about what's going on in my life. But I thought things would chill out after the holidays, but we are still as busy as ever. What are we doing? I have no idea, but I seem to have something every day! Since my last blog, we have begun a new year and my child is about to be one. 

  Oh, I forgot! It snowed, and has been freezing for the past week!! When I was younger, I couldn't wait for it to snow. Now, I don't look forward too it as much. Maybe it's because I was 8 1/2 months pregnant last year, and it decided to snow and the roads were bad.  Let's talk about stress!! I was determined not to have that baby in a car on the way to the hospital, and thank goodness we made it even though there was still snow on the ground! So I would rather have spring weather!!

We have also begun a new bible study in Sunday School, Scouting the Divine!! And let me tell you if you are looking for a study, this is it! We just started, but am already so excited about getting together next Sunday to discuss more.
