AdvoCare Cleanse Day 9

Well my cleansing is almost over, and I feel amazing! You know that point when you are eating unhealthy, and you just feel GROSS? That's where I was before cleansing. We had been down to my parents and we always seem to snack and eat great food, but not the healthiest food in the world. So you feel bloated and just plain gross. But after cleansing, even on the 3rd day, I felt so much better!!

Cleanse Day 9:

Breakfast:
Meal Replacement Bar with some eggs that boys didn't eat.

Lunch:
It was a hectic day, especially with our infamous trip to Wal-Mart yesterday, and if you live anywhere around here you know that Stuttgart doesn't have the biggest selection of healthy restaurants that are quick and easy.(Subway needs a drive-thru for Moms!!) So had to stop at McDonald's, and not much to choose from there that's healthy! I ordered a premium chipolte BBQ grilled chicken wrap....and NO I didn't eat the wrap, I just ate the chicken on the inside of the wrap and all of my children's apples from their Happy Meals! Thank you Mrs. Obama for adding apples to their meals!! ;o)

Supper:
Red beans and brown rice..........and NO cornbread, but a Sister Schubert's Whole Wheat dinner roll. I had strawberries and bananas for dessert.

Snacks are the same for me everyday!! I finally realized I had a great snack under my nose. actually 4 huge brown bags of pecans we picked and had shelled this past Fall. So I toasted pecans and have been snacking on them as I pass through the kitchen.

Don't forget our Trim It To Win It Competition! Email, text, message me on Facebook for details. Cash prizes for winners!! My email address: ave_621@hotmail.com

AdvoCare Cleanse Day 8

Oh Wow I should have typed this yesterday, because after a stressful "Wal-Mart" trip with both munchkins speaking "wineese"(i love that ecard) I am not at my normal self :O).. I know I'll look back and wish I still had those infamous trips to Wal-Mart, Max & Ruby playing over-n-over on the TV, and someone, whom is not my husband, calling my second name constantly 'MOMMA, MOMMA!!'  I had to laugh today, because as both were yelling my name I prayed, "Lord, give me patience, PLEASE....Well, maybe this is how you are trying to teach me patience, through my children." Bless you, Amen!!

Ok onto food for the day:

Cleanse Day 8:

Breakfast:
Fiber drink then a Meal Replacement Bar

Lunch:
Can of tuna with Multigrain tostios chips...wasn't very hungry but needed to eat.

Dinner:
Baked Artichoke Chicken(pinterest recipe).. Adam politely said "You don't have to ever make that again." HAHAHAH At least he was nice! It was ok, if you like vinegary/tangy taste.Which I like.
The picture looked better to me than it tasted  I served it with cooked cabbage and sauteed green beans!

Snacks:
Advo Snack Bar, Mixed nuts, and multigrain chips

AdvoCare Cleanse Day 7

Today we were traveling home after church from NWA! So my food choices were not as good as I would want them to be.

Breakfast:
Meal Replacement AdvoBar
Lunch:
Southwest Salad from McDonald's light on the dressing

Supper:
This was fend for yourself night. I had a piece of whole wheat bread with peanut butter spread plus some tostios multi grain chips

I'll remember next time I start a cleanse to be sure we aren't traveling anywhere! It was the hardest, but manageable.

I am going to do a separate blog post on all the AdvoBars that I've been snacking on in-between meals.

On another note, Join our Trim It to Win It 24 Day Challenge Competition!! Everyone participating will start the challenge Monday, April 8! Winners will receive $50 cash prizes. AdvoCare Cleanse Day 5

Belated Cleanse Day 5

Breakfast:
Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake

Lunch:
Leftover slow cooker pork chops and brown rice

Supper:
Genghis Grill select serving of veggies with chicken, shrimp, steak, scallops served on brown rice

Snacks:
I was traveling so had to search for healthy snacks at a gas station. My selection was a pickle, assorted nut mix, and beef jerky.

And will admit I cheated!! Don't judge but couldn't pass up TCBY yogurt. It's 98% fat free right?!? Well had white chocolate mousse with raspberries and blackberries. Amazing!!!

Until Next Time,
Averie

Back on track tomorrow.

AdvoCare Cleanse Day 4

So today we celebrate, because I didn't have to drink the fiber drink! But honestly I can say I have grown use to the flavor and texture, and don't mind it since it gets the job done.

Cleanse Day 4

Breakfast:
Instead of the Meal Replacement shake, I had the Meal Replacement AdvoBar. It doesn't have as much protein, but I have to chew on something some mornings.

Lunch:
I wasn't very hungry so I ate half a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with mustard.  I didn't finish it, but did eat purple hull peas I had left over from the other night. I did use a little tomato relish on my peas!

Dinner:
We had Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Mushroom Gravy (click for link)
with brown rice, fresh salad, and our dinner staple Sister Schubert's Whole Wheat Yeast rolls

Snacks:
Blackberries, 1 tbsp of peanut butter, few Stacy's pita chips

I'll end the menu by saying, I am definitely not perfect when it comes to eating during the cleanse. These are only suggestions for those who want to add variety to their meals!!

Until Next Time,
Averie

I know you get tired of seeing my families before and after pictures, so thought I would share a new friend and fellow AdvoCare Distributors before and after!! She lost a total of 12 lbs on her Challenge and has lost a total of 20lbs so far!! Not only does she have success with products, but she is having success as an AdvoCare Distributor, making $2500-$3000 per month and pinning 3* Gold within AdvoCare!! Great motivation on both ends!

Cleanse Day 3

Today was a little everywhere for us. It was one of those days were you bite the bullet, and decide to take both children to the store to get new shoes. Stressful, doesn't even begin to describe our experience. Let's just say I looked like one of those Mom's where everybody says, "Oh Poor Girl!!" haha..But mission accomplished! Two new pairs of shoes, that crossing my fingers will last for a while so we don't have to make that trip again anytime soon!! I love my children, but love my children at home! ;O)

Ok, onto what the post is supposed to be about! I can honestly say I feel amazing day 3, and those 4lbs I had put on from not eating right over the past few weeks, has dropped by 2!!

AdvoCare Cleanse Day 3

Breakfast:
I remembered this AM! Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake...

Lunch:
Chick-fil-a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with a side of fruit. I did use the pack of sauce that comes with the sandwich...

Supper:
Blackened Tilapia(I coat with blackening seasoning, then lightly coated with Italian Bread Crumbs...less than 1/4 of a cup) browned in skillet with a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil
I have learned to cut out the pink-brown vein in the fish..Makes it taste less fishy!
Sauteed green beans, baked sweet potatoes, and a Sister Schubert's Whole Wheat Dinner Roll

Snacks:
I'm a creature of habit so ate my trusty Trail Mix from Wal-Mart minus the M&Ms, blackberries, and a few Stacy's Pita Chips(parmesean flavor)

I posted on Facebook today how you are truly wasting your money if you take AdvoCare products, but don't change your eating habits and lifestyle(exercising). It was not intended for any specific person!!
Let me say I do not eat healthy 100% of the time! I would go crazy if I did, but I do try to eat really healthy during the week and then allow myself a splurge or two on the weekends!!! It keeps me sane.

Until Next Time,
Averie

AdvoCare Cleanse Day 2

Cleanse Day 2:

So for some reason today turned out to be Mexican Tuesday!! I can never pass up a great Mexican dish!

Breakfast:
I'll be honest here and admit I forgot to eat breakfast. After drinking the Peaches-n-Cream fiber drink, I was so full and lost track of following my schedule. Oh well, I just move on!

Lunch:
At our local El Canaveral I ordered lunch chicken fajitas with no sour cream and no tortillas! I just ate the grilled chicken and veggies along with the side of lettuce, pico, and guacamole.

Dinner:
Chicken and Avocado Enchiladas (click for link) with fresh salsa. I did tweak the recipe a bit. I used whole wheat tortillas and a tiny amount of plain greek yogurt when it called for sour cream in the avocado sauce, and left out the cheese!! But loaded up on fresh cilantro, chicken, and veggies!!

Throughout the day I snacked on Wal-Mart Trial Mix minus the M&Ms, apples, and strawberries!!

Recipes During AdvoCare Cleanse: Day 1

I am not a nutritional guru, but I always have people ask me about suggestions for recipes during the AdvoCare 10 day Cleanse. So I decided since this is Day 1 of my cleanse, I would share my meals for the next 10 days so that maybe I can give others new ideas for their own meals.

During AdvoCare's 10 Day Cleanse, you are to stay away from sugars, fried foods, and anything dairy. It's a very gentle cleanse, as the say it's "Gentle and Uneventful!!" You should get my drift.  Everybody should do Cleanses preferably every 90 days, because our bodies take in a ton of toxins and rarely get removed due to how we eat, exercise, etc.....

Many of these recipes I carry over past the 10 Day Cleanse to maintain a healthy eating routine.

CLEANSE DAY 1:

Breakfast: Dark Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake

Lunch: Turkey sandwich with whole wheat bread and mustard
Whole Grain chips with Salsa

Dinner: Spicy Baked Shrimp (found on Pinterest, click for link) with Brown Rice
Purple Hull Peas and Sister Schubert's Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls

Snacks throughout the day: Trail Mix from Walmart minus the M&Ms
Cuties Oranges and Tostitos Multi grain Chips

and TONS OF WATER and unsweet TEA.....and can't forget FRUIT PUNCH SPARK!!

Until Next Time,
Averie
